About Plas-Pak Industries, Inc.
Introduction
Senior management personnel of Masti-Kure Products and
Silver Industries, Inc formed Plas-Pak Industries, Inc.
in 1985. These veterinary pharmaceutical and injection molding
companies specialized in the manufacturing of mastitis treatments,
equine wormer pastes, and the associated syringe delivery
systems. Plas-Pak’s three founders occupied senior
positions in Finance, Sales and Marketing, and Plant Operations,
and shared a common vision: to grow the business by providing
to our customers the highest quality products at a fair
price.
The basic tenet of the business is to stay close to our
core technology of producing plastic packaging and delivery
systems for liquids, gels, and pastes, while conducting
the business with integrity, enthusiasm, and a desire for
customer satisfaction. Plas-Pak takes pride in being a good
supplier, customer, employer, and neighbor.
Our Facility
Plas-Pak Industries employs over 100 highly motivated,
well-trained individuals that operate its Norwich, Connecticut
facility, centrally located between the port cities of Boston
and New York. The plant is in production 24 hours per day,
five days per week in a clean, modern 150,000 square foot
building. We currently utilize twenty-eight molding machines
(from 30 ton, 1 oz up to 650 ton, 30 oz). Our molding line
is complemented by specialized finishing machines, which
perform tasks such as automated assembly, capping, labeling,
and hot stamping.
Products and Markets Served
Plas-Pak has enjoyed substantial growth in the 20 years
we have been in operation. This has been accomplished by
our commitment to what we do; re-investing in our molding
capability, evaluating new opportunities, manufacturing
high quality parts, operating efficiently, and providing
our customers with excellent service. These commitments
have allowed us to expand and diversify our products and
applications, and we now proudly supply customers in over
30 countries. A sampling of the products and markets we
service are listed below.
Disposable Syringes:
Plas-Pak’s disposable syringes are versatile for paste
and gel products. Our syringes are designed as primary packages
suitable for pre-filling and market distribution. We currently
supply our syringes to the veterinary pharmaceutical (single
dose and Dial-A-Doseâ syringes), pesticide, testing
and sampling, dental whitener, adhesive, lubricants, specialty
food, and DIY markets.
Dual Syringes:
One of our most popular product lines, the dual syringe
markets will continue to be served by our existing line
and planned line expansions. Plas-Pak’s syringes are
used for two part adhesives in the DIY, automotive, dental
whiteners, dental resin cements, topical applications, veterinary,
and hair care products. Options include a wide range of
static mixers to meet application specific requirements.
Cartridge Dispensing Systems:
We make a range of variable capacity (15cc to 300cc) cartridges
used for veterinary supplements, DIY adhesives, and pesticides.
In combination with low-cost manual guns, the cartridge
dispensing system is ideal for reliable and pinpoint placement
of gels and pastes, and is complimented by our wide range
of nozzle styles and dispensing needles.
Ratio-Pak® Adhesive Dispensers
and Static Mixers:
Plas-Pak offers a full range of multi-ratio, dual cartridge
adhesive dispensing cartridges and static mixers. Used primarily
for adhesive dispensing in the construction, automotive,
and industrial design markets, the product offerings have
expanded to include one-piece dual cartridges, universal
one-piece caps, and improved self-venting seals.
Ratio-Pak HSS Spray Systems:
Utilizing Ratio-Pak’s® multi-ratio cartridge line,
and available with a variety of spray pattern heads, Plas-Pak
offers an innovative spray dispensing package. Perfect for
high solid polyurea spray coating applications, the HSS
Spray System is well placed in the bed liner, foam adhesive,
and general coating and touch-up markets. This low cost,
effective system is suitable for field and shop applications,
taking advantage of the low-cost and mobility of air dispensing
guns.
Dental and Human Health:
We manufacture enema nozzles, medication dispensers, and
a variety of syringes suitable for dental applications,
lotions, hair care products, and other dispensing applications.
